Romanticizing the night

Claudia

I miss the stars.

I miss them each night.

I know they’re here,

Yet not for my eyes.

I used to stare at them back at home,

Now that I’m here

It seems that they are gone.

Here I’ve got lights,

As pretty as gold.

They shine all day,

They’re bright at night.

And though they make

The night more gleaming,

I'm left alone, left only dreaming.

Of all the stars that I left home,

Who do they shine for,

Now that I'm gone?

Do they feel lonely?

Are they still there?

Do they need me,

As much as I need them?
