What We Can Do

Tayama

There are often no happy endings for many of us......Yet often there are periods of peace and serenity, and as we understand this......we cease trying to avoid what hurts us. For the avoidance of the inevitable suffering of life, forfeits the chance of ever learning that today, right now, this moment, is when at the ending of this day, we can indeed be happy. For we know we can endure what comes tomorrow, and maybe even smile before we fall asleep today, so we can begin anew one more time. That is the magic of life…Endless days of peace and sorrow and the gift of repeating them to hurt and love even more. Our suffering is the food that feeds our ability to conquer it. Imagine not feeling? Cherish the pain and joy.

Reminds me of the scripture: give no thought for tomorrow sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
