Holy Amnesia

Parisab

Is it me who has forgotten?

(Or) is it your voice in my head?

Words are bouncing everywhere and losing their place,
but are these my thoughts or your promises?

And will you remind me of who I am, when we meet again?

I sense the dampness in my hands, as I cling on to your rope, but the void in your silence feels eternal

I find my solice in looking at my(self) in the mirror-are these colorful pictures my nature or you reminding me of your unconditional love in my fading imagery?

Your words are striking and beautiful dear poet. A question posed, to which the answer is conflicted. Loved it!

Thank you dear poet-I guess I see our memory loss, as a function of the material world fading and our attention shifting to our spiritual connection with our maker.

such grace in you poetic imagery
      such nuanced, owned fragility
in these searching words, a theme
      relatable to anyone
      even those, devoid
      of any theological alignment
      this poem, resonates and voices
      such universal humane, sentiments
      wonderfully worded, a great read
      thank you, dear Poet
      (there's a few lines, I scribbled
      a long time ago
which I feel your words reflect:
      'for naked , I'm clothed
      in hope's
      progressive steps
      upon treadmilling, memories
      and pulsing themes
      of breathless, inadequacies')
