The struggle of expectations

blessedkayla7

 You think you understand me?

I can hear you speak you see...

you go on about my perfect life

I just let you believe your right

But the truth is you have no idea about my hidden stress.

because you are too concerned about the way I dress

if you could see my heart you would see

the kind of person I could be

all the whispers and the pointing

I can't help but get that feeling

The one that makes me wonder if it's worth it

the heaviness of these feelings makes me worried

Even after all my efforts, I still have many imperfections

you've set all these high expectations

you only see the careless looks I show

So you automatically know me? No! I don't think so

You see my clothes give me dirty looks and stares

never taking time to show care.

Little do you know these things cause fears

Fears that you may never hear.

Because they are hidden in last night's tears

So true. Everyone judges and thinks that they know you but no one can ever really know what is going on inside of someone.
