I Be A Fool

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

That is what you told me

That I was the only one

And I was made to believe

Then I gave you my trust

I had no doubt

Looking at your innocent face

Your feigned striking smile

Your cool convincing sweet voice

Really made me believe

And it was kind of relieving

Maybe I would have searched the heart

Because now it is hard to believe

I have been with you

Like we have been too

Not knowing we were three

I be a fool

Thinking we were all alone

Just the two of us

Not knowing we were three

I know, right now I'm a fool

You know, I being a fool

You know, I have been fooled

You know, life is crazy

I mean it is kind of stupid

You know, people are more selfish

You know, it is kind of foolish

I be a fool

Maybe I'm just high

Maybe I can't get low

Maybe I'm overreacting

Maybe I just need a break.
