Complexion By Shoni Mazile

Shoni Mazile

Her beauty is a reflection of the land unto which she was born, the heat in her soft brown eyes clouds the judgment of any mortal man which dared to stand upon her gaze. The touch of her voice was as soft as fertile soil unto which the rich and poor reap and sow. From head to toe she did not glow but was the source of light, not like the sun but like the moon when she smiled a gentle glowing smile
As clear as can be she needed me to set her free.
Her flaws make Her flawless.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is the first poem I wrote and thought that I should start my publishing career with it, written in 2016/7. I sat to compose it after I had a conversation with my late aunt about the type of woman that I wanted to marry.
