Those Brown Eyes

AJ_2413

You think that your eyes don't stand out, but to me your eyes are the best of all the eyes I've looked into while I've lived.

While brown eyes do take up a considerable amount of the population, they're nothing like your eyes.

Your eyes make me feel warm and safe.

They're like the richest chocolate and the bark of trees on a rainy day.

My eyes are emeralds, you said, if so yours would be Brown Tourmaline, though it is one full color, it still is filled with deep and different shades like just the gem.

That is just your eyes though, if I had to talk about what I saw in those eyes I would be here forever.

They're so full of different emotions, so bright with different passions, and when you smile.

When you smile and I look in your eyes my heart flips and tries to reach for the sky only for your eyes to be the dirt holding me down on Earth.

If I had your eyes, I would stare in the mirror so long Narcissus would be jealous.

I would not move, I would not sleep, as long as it meant I got to stare into those eyes just a little bit longer.
