Solitude

MysteryGhost

Empty streets

Cars flipped over

No humans to be found

Except you

An explosion heard in the distance

It is the meltdown of a nuclear plant

Dead trees line the forest

You spot a warhead of an undetonated nuclear bomb

The war has changed everything

Life on the planet has ceased to exist

Every organism gone

Except you

How did you survive?

How do you manage to live in this wasteland?

Looking for hope

Wandering the world in your solitude.

Nice poem about the unthinkable. Sea life will probably survive and perhaps make another journey to land eventually - or maybe not.

I didn't think about sea life which is odd because I literally studied Aquarium Science in high school. Thanks for the comment!
