Blood Moon

Joakim Bergen

Moon, my bride, dance

With me tonight. Twixt

Vestiges of sunlight in

Crow-black sabbath gown

I await our courtship.

Come dressed in mist an' wonder;

Diamond tears upon your rosy face!

Speak of love most tender, of love divine;

Spill the dew of Heaven, passion sublime!

Oh, Moon!

Descend upon me with swan's grace

And bless my body frail; in roseate

Scarlet moonlight wash my sins away!

Rose diamond, rose of the sky;

In starless night, may you light my way!
