When day begins and I start my walk

Can you know what’s in my inner thoughts?

Do you press your ear close to my heart?

Where love and hatred gets its start

 

Have you watched the awful things I’ve done?

The hearts I’ve broken, every one

Do you know the things that make me cry?

The visions burned inside my mind

 

Is there a thought you do not know?

Have you been everywhere I go?

Do you see the fear upon my face?

As I sit alone in my secret place

 

Have you felt the comfort by grace received?

Or wondered where I long to be

Wondered at the end of day

What good it does for me to pray

 

Do you know the One who holds me close?

Whom I place my love and trust the most

Al the things I’ve ever done

Forgiven through the the blood of One
