I love to stand under the roof of my porch in a thunder storm and hear, feel the power of mother nature. The air quotes are definitely there, it is exilerating. Thank you dear poet for this reminder.
fumes to ghosts of smoke's reprieve
quotation marks, accenting
our memory's portrayals..
clouds as our avenues
rainfalls as markings of paths
and that cherished pull
of cancerous death, as our respite
from life's, incessant strife
(still, our curtains help
one pull and reality, is delayed
till we can affirm, choice
and wait for that monster, to
move on..)
