In youth, my heart was filled with hope and light,
A dreamer, free from sorrow's heavy weight.
With passion, I pursued love's sweet delight,
And thought my joy would never dissipate.
But fate is cruel, and all too soon I found
That love can be a bitter, painful thing.
My heart was shattered, scattered on the ground,
And sorrow's icy grip began to sting.
The ones we love can hurt us most of all,
Their absence like a dagger in our chest.
And though we may still hear love's sweet call,
It's tainted by the pain that won't give rest.
So now I wander, haunted by my past,
A broken soul who knows not how to heal.
My heart forever scarred, my joy surpassed,
And yet, I cannot help but love and feel.
Born to love, forced to suffer, such is life,
A cycle of joy, pain, and bitter strife.
