I pick tangerines at dawn
My hands almost touch the sun
My crimson lips are burning
Good morning love,
Good morning
Honey suckles open wide
I have no fear, he has your eyes
Divine,
A delicious yearning
Good morning love,
Good morning.

Now I can’t reach that Citrus sun
Every word of his
I’ve worn
Like a sweater,
inside out.
I’ve been still
so that he flies to me
I’ll reach high
to reach him
Now he’s still my sun
And my falcon.
He may gaze upon me,
the higher he can fly
from home.

Thank you for reading, poet friend-
Really interesting. Beautiful theme.
Thank you poet friend-May I invite you to comment on how you see my poetry different after 23 years, in the second part? (Of course I don’t commit to one style of poetry.)
Beautiful!
Like fine wine, a poem 23 years in the making
exudes, refined sweetness and brevity
of the richest, velvet sincerity..
Thank you! for sharing this wonderful sip
of your life's, resplendent wine!
Happy Birthday to your lucky son
Hope you all had a lovely weekend
🍾🥂🍰👏🍾
Dear poet friend, your inspiring comments and insightfulness, will help motivate my words for more years to come. I’m looking forward to more of your excellent poems.
This beautiful poem is so unique in its concept. The joy of a newborn, then reflection, 23 years later, of how that incredible life that has affected yours. As a mom I can relate to this whole heartedly. I'm late to the reading, but thank you for sharing this wonderful verse of mother love.
Thank you Ms Bella for your heartfelt and thoughtful comments. I enjoy your work very much.

Thanks for the visit and the read-
This poem hit my thoughts.
It is a great poem.
In my country, we would often say
My falcon to a young man or a child.
Words Go on falcon in my country is often said to encourage to support a young man to endure to fight. Mothers are sensitive and they would say to their son My falcon to express how proud they are. Thank you. Bravo!!
Wow I was not aware of the cultural piece-it was born out of maternal intuition-thanks for sharing and I like your poetic name as well…
