Waves

lisztmsv

here i am sitting in the sand

watching the waves fall as they land

beauty in its finest

is when the sun sets at it's lowest

it meets the sea at this hour

i sit back and admire this exchange for power

the wind sweeps through my strands of hair

almost like whispers

close to ear.

orange & yellow fill the sky

reddish embers threaten to expose their greatest

lie.

i watch the sun sinking lower to hide from view

guessing i only have a minute or two.

i stand to my feet, glancing one last time

i step closer to where the waves rush to meet.

greeting the  gentle waters, an easy fleet.

when i was lost and alone the beach became my closest

friend.

a gentle love surrounds me then, wishing safe waters for me

at the end.
