1 Peter 1 v.3-5

The God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, true His word
And blessed be He, who according
To great mercy does bring
Life, he has us begotten
Born again through His Son
Unto a living hope, that we
No more without hope be
'Tis by the resurrection
Of Jesus, His own Son
Jesus Christ risen from dead
Now e'er our living Head
Brought to an inheritance
Nothing can remove hence
Us from here is we believe
And His good gifts receive
It an inheritance be
Incorruptible, see
And undefiled, unfading
No blot or decaying
It be reserved in heaven
For us, who are kept then
By the power of God to
Salvation, e'en for you
This salvation is ready
To be revealed fully
At end time, Jesus' return
We in Him grow and learn
Having His Spirit, earnest* (* deposit, down payment)
Of this, we people blest
God and we shall ever be
At one eternally
