"Until your last dying breathe"

Deshan Charlsington

Its the final day of war on the battlefield

either surrender and die or fight till the end with the guns they wield

A small army hiding in the heavily damaged trench

some injured and some dead with a highly terrible stench

its currently a situation of life and death, not a walk or sit on the bench

The enemy forces are closing in, were heavily outnumbered

we either go to die or fight to be remembered

its a hundred of us against an army of a whole military

no matter the odds we LIVE, FIGHT and DIE for our country

the sounds of gunfire, men screaming and the explosion of canon shells is a terrifying melody

The final battle begins as two armies meet

we fight from street to street denying defeat

Soldiers, heroes they all DIE for our land

we all fall one by one into each other's hand

and still fight together like a musical rock band

We just knew were dying today

fought hard but still fall apart like poorly molten clay

tens and thousand of rounds were fired day after day

the enemy outed our candles before we even lit them

the time has finally come when our final chapter has been written from root to stem
