I Wish I Could Die

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

Watching people you love

Waxing in pain

Slowly waning

Fading into darkness of silence

Trying to save them

Or forgetting you had tried

The best possible solution

Yet fate defied such efforts

Responsibility taken or shoveled

To protect the family from spiritual invaders

They very first responsibility failed

Then I wished I had died too

The visions seen like a prophet of doom

Fasting and prayer were to be made

To save such adorable soul

Fate carried in memory lost

I had triumphed at some fights

Yet I lost once

Oh, what a big loss

I wished I had a strong memory

So sorry I was not there for you

I should have fought besides you

Yet the devil snatched my memory

I forgot to fast and pray for you
