Love can be a dangerous game
When the feelings are not the same
The pain of longing for his touch
Hurt and ache are just too much
The heart beats fast with every thought
Of moments that were once so sought
But now those memories just sting
As shattered pieces they do bring
What once was sweet and filled with bliss
Is lost in darkness, like a kiss
That falls upon deaf ears and heart
As two souls drift further apart
Love can be fierce, it can be cruel
A double-edged sword, a tricky tool
Where passion and heartbreak coexist
And shattered love just can't be fixed
So when love hurts, and he's not yours
Remember that you're worth much more
And though the pain may last for years
He's not worth all your shedded tears.
