Dear you,
I learned it all from you
How not to feel blue
How to be happy;
How to tie my shoe.
You were there
Brushing my hair
Teaching me how to live
Teaching me how to care
You may not have given me life
After all, you were just his wife,
But you still cared;
You indeed gave me life.
You bandaged my scraped knees
You put my mind at ease
You brought me joy
And you heard my silent pleas
You saw me suffer
You became my buffer
You saw my hurt
And made me tougher
I learned it all from you
How not to feel blue
How to be happy
How to stay true.
