The boy at the bus station (Part 2)

Jan_Yin

I turn around, my eyes wide in shock

standing there stupid, frozen, like a rock

there stood a girl so smug and happy,

this is the worst, I feel crappy.

Of course, he has someone he was meeting,

he was flirting with me, who am I kidding,

the rain starts suddenly, drenching

there is a pain in my chest, aching.

he runs up to the other girl asking how her day has been,

it made me sad and wiped any trace of happiness off my face clean.

fate is so cruel so mean,

I thought as I stood shivering.

why are you so cruel? So mean...,

in the end, am just an anxious teen,

wanting love isn't a bad thing

I feel dizzy and hear my ears ring.

suddenly they turned and caught me staring

still, I stood not even caring

their face full of confusion, wondering

It's the rain, I am not crying.

"is she ok?" he whispers to her,

I feel angry... I think of murder,

murder? Ha! I must be going insane

for murder because of love is inhumane.

here comes the bus coming to a stop,

oh what great stroke of luck,

i don't get on, i rather stand in the rain,

surrounded only by pain.
