Temple Talk

Tune: St Timothy

('O Holy Ghost, thy people bless')

John 2 v.18-22

*********

The Jews to Jesus they did say

What sign do you today

Show unto us, for casting out

Temple traders, no doubt

Jesus said, Destroy this temple

And then in three days all

Of it I will raise up, then they

Replied to Him, did say

Forty six years this temple here

Took to build and to rear

And will you in three days it raise

If we should here it raze?

But Jesus spake of the temple

Of His body, not walls

Of temple built of bricks and stone

Though that was to Jews known

When therefore Jesus was risen

From the dead, surely then

His disciples remembered so

His words, and truth did know

is that why synagogues are invariably round, so that no one can hide in the corners , or not be heard ..

Talk is talk and walk is walk, walking the talk and talking the walk is quite the challenge.
