Kat Da Poet

Sitting in the grass.

Mind tuned with nature.

Birds chirping.

Ducks swimming.

The quietest it can be.

The flowers, the trees,

Oh how I feel so free!

Yet I’m still trapped.

Forever in this hell.

What I’d give to see and smell.

But alas, my time is up.

Hope I’ll start anew.

Not confined to these shackles, more feeling free.

But then why is it so peaceful?

All my thoughts filled with glee.
