try is what they say i should do,
every hour or two,
try until i'm blue in the face,
until i stop my mistakes.
do better,
stop crying,
wear this dress,
always look your best,
fix your hair,
you don't need to look like a grizzly bear.
smile,
don't frown,
turn that upside down.
try to stand on your own,
all alone.
i desire to scream & yell at all my
insecurities.
perfection is trying to be tiring.
my choices aren't defined by the ones who can see,
they are only judged by me.

- Comment from author about the poem: Society & not to mention people have many expectations. Especially thee ones who like to dictate what makes you, you. This poem is my feelings on that & me not caring what people think of me now that i'm older. If i'm liked awesome if not get to stepping.
