Are We Nearly There Yet
It’s at times
like this
I can’t help but
wonder ..
How many
more cheap
hotel rooms we
might
have left in us ..
And it’s
times like this
I can’t help
but marvel at ..
The length
and the depth
of our eagerness ..
But even
though we
each share this
hunger ..
We still have
our own
quite different
appetites ..
No matter tho’
how often
we might ask it ..
The same
question that is ..
Are we nearly
there yet ..
We’re not really
looking for
answers but
just marking time ..

Dunno if we're nearly there yet. Where we going?! Do shut up Orchi. lol.
I know where you are going if you are not careful ..
'Tis the journey we seek, not the destination. Well penned my lyrical friend. 😉
You are so write again AP .. thank you sir 🙂
A telling question your title here highlights dear Sir - - methinks after romps in hotel rooms with maybe a dram or two before play no wonder they're not looking for constructive answers - another intriguingly canny read ............ x
Ta Fay ..................... n truly x
Loved this write! Reminds me of long road trips and adventure. x
then my ink has proved of some value at least .. road trips and adventure are write up my street x
There are those journeys that you wish would never end, and it's always the anticipation of the next one that sparks desire. Simply delicious dear friend!
Delighted dear Bella .. absolutely my friend ..
so relatable Hyung
'thought provoking' to say the least
a lovely read
(distance, is ever a conundrum
of our anxiety, status
yearning to know our limitations
we strive to measure
knowing, we never want to realise
those ending credits
instead, by trying to concentrate
on destination, we
approximate the time we have left
to cherish
mementos of our life's effervescent
sensations..)
the films were fun as well, lol
You got me feeling like an old apple Mek .. spoilt rotten to the core .. bless you my friend and then some bloomin more 🙂
