Life is a Riddle

The cacophony of emotions
deafening the mind.
Flames of thoughts
playing the game of rhymes.

Darkness is tempting,
it promises oblivion,
luring with the illusion
of dominion.

Grains of sand
between the toes,
waves murmuring
while kissing the shores.

Tender breeze
caressing the skin,
taste of salt
in a perfect dream.

Crickets weave praise
to the stars,
keeping the promise
of warmth alive.

The night sways
on a thread
that holds memories
heavy as lead.

Nothing is easy,
nothing is true
Life is a riddle
solved by two.
