The Encounter

Tia Natasha

What have you done to my soul?

I feel alive; I'm existing again.

a burst of energy and excitation.

Suddenly, I'm satisfied.

The void has been filled.

Sorrow is replaced.

You came all this way for me.

My waterpot carries no weight.

My pain and burden were felt through your skin.

Many eyes looked on me, but only you saw within.

Their stones couldn't break my bones.

My bitterness tasted sweet at your touch.

I couldn't resist this attraction.

My knees refused to stand in your presence.

Then tears caressed your soft legs.

Golden tresses caught every drop.

Oh!  Come and see a man who knows my past.

a stream that fills every thirst.
