Did You Ever Dare to Ask

Neville

Did You Ever Dare to Ask

Did you ever stop

to wonder ..

Did you ever think

to guess ..

Did you ever even

notice

there was someone

in the

background playing

blues guitar

while both of us got

undressed ..

Did you ever once

consider ..

Did you ever reason

why ..

Both me and the sun

went down

on you beneath that

pretty

summer dress and a

perfect

cloud free, cobalt sky ..

So pray

tell me, did you ever

dare to ask

those most important

questions

of them, her, or him ..

Or even

my dear friend, of us ..

It was me playing the guitar - until I swooned at what I saw! heehee. Did you hear the crash as I fell off me chair?!

      (it's scary to look closely
      at our reflections
      as in eyes, rest fragments
      of reasoning to our deeds)
for some this will be a fun cheeky, read
for rest of us, it will be a sobering reminder
of those let down's and shameful escapes
      we so ardently, repress
      n forget..
but either way, there's no denying
      this a great write, Hyung
      thank you!
(you've spoilt my poetic sweet tooth
      rotten, today
treat yourself to a double, double
      of your favourite)
      Salut! mi Amigo
      🍻
Hope you n yours, have a lovely
      Sun-kissed week

Some might wonder, " Why question a good thing?" But without complete knowledge that thing can be misunderstood. Questioning, then. becomes important. Incomplete understanding can ruin a relationship.
A daring title, followed by the wisdom of a running question, leading to an obvious result. A most enjoyable poem and a bit of wisdom too. - Phil A.

My word sir Phil I feel indulged to the hilt and beyond this fine foggy mane .. indeed, my sincerest of thank you's, pale beside and beneath the weight of my gratitude, for the kindness you have shown me already today .. and I still have breakfast to look forward to ... Neville 🙂
