A Lonely Man

Dark

In the darkness of the night,

A lonely man, devoid of light,

Struggles to find a reason to live,

For all he has is pain to give.

He wanders through the empty streets,

With weary steps and heavy feet,

His heart is heavy, burdened with despair,

As he wonders if anyone out there will care.

But still, he soldiers on each day,

Forced to live life in his own way,

With no companions by his side,

He must face his demons and take them in stride.

Sometimes, he finds a moment of joy,

A glimmer of hope he cannot destroy,

And though the pain may never cease,

He clings to these moments, a source of peace.

For though his life may seem so bleak,

There's a strength within him he must seek,

And though the road ahead may be rough,

He'll find a way to endure, be tough.

So let him walk this path alone,

For one day, he may find his home,

And though he may feel lost and small,

He'll find the strength to rise above it all.
