YOU AND ME

That writer Bree

I am amazed by nature’s power,

Mountains high, oceans wide,

Verdant forests, blooming flowers,

And creatures that in this place reside.

Though as I merry in this sight,

I cannot help but feel a plight,

That nature’s beauty is at stake,

We must act, for goodness’ sake!

For in this world of marvelous grace,

We hold the key to its embrace,

To cherish, love, give it space,

And let it flourish in its place.

Let’s take a stand and do what’s right,

To safeguard the earth day and night,

To heal its wounds and make it whole,

So, it can continue to nurture our soul.

For if we fail in this sacred task,

We’ll leave behind a world so vast,

Without the creatures, plants and trees.

That make it possible for you and me.

                                                  Love, B.

    well written
    a general call to arms
    to do something, anything
    to reverse
the plight of our battered, earth
    (so relatable, thanks for sharing)
