Life goes on 

Without you 

 

My heart grasps and claws and clenches

For what once was

A brief moment in time 

 

When i loved you

And you shrouded my broken soul 

With your delicate embrace

A comforting shade from the harsh sun

Of my life

 

i walk the desert, dreaming of this mirage

Hoping it will one day find me again

My heart swells for a brief moment 

My chest, a heap of sand in the wind

A flash of green.
