Unvarnished Thoughts of Past and Present

Mr. Not

so many words and phrases
engraved into my mind
by a blade of tongues and teeth

drowning in the tears of sorrow
hacking up my lungs
and the thoughts of tomorrow

blades that dig through my skin
and cut through bone
pouring my blood over the olden throne

my face no more than a mask of regret
different light of the same affair
my voice molded into your favorite threat
