Aching Void

Roohi

You don’t know the burden I feel beneath me

Trying to listen to a voice that’s been aching

The world around me is caving

As I surrender and fell to my knees

The tears, they never show mercy

Just running from the eyes embarrassing me

I try to hold onto the strength in me

All I hear whispers of what I could have achieved

If only I would have tried harder

If only I was a little smarter

If only I could be altered

Altered to their needs

Altered for those beasts

As they try to customize me

Do the deed to criticize me

While battle field goes numb inside of me

When I slipped in to the aching void of screams
