Half

sophin

I looked out through the window of frost

the camera could not capture the iridescent crystals

my eyes are ephemeral and temporary

colors fade and rise through the years

and how beautiful it was

I held the birth of a universe in my hand

watched it be pierced through by the rage of the sun

and the fury of time as hours churned in the storm

my heart is so dull beating dull beating

yet how beautiful it is
