Picture of my Land (Unfinished)

Joakim Bergen

The sky weeps crystals; clear,

uncompromising sadness.

The night envelops in coat of

mystery; marries shadow with

droops of starlit rain, lovingly

embraces rivers an' trees and

mountaintops that, emerging from the

sea, in the distance, glisten with flickers

of light; thereupon the hillside, gay

cottages lay cheerfuly alight, an' rivers,

ablaze in moonlight, slither like snakes

merrily gushing from mossy stones into

the mountain-crowned sea; joy burgeons

anew in the woeing shade of night's

embrace and, lulled by Moon, loved by

stars, the land sleeps, until the dawn.

'The night envelops in coat of
    mystery; marries shadow with
    droops of starlit rain,'
    wonderfully vivid, great wording
    and that 'unfinished'
is a status, my scribbles know
    far too well
    lol
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
