Dosa: A way of Life

Serene

On a summer's day so bright and warm,
I woke to birdsong and no alarm,
Gazed through the window glass,
Watching the fluffy clouds slowly pass.

Then came my mom, with a plate of dosas, hot,
Dosa's not just food, it's an emotion, a happy thought,
It taught me a life lessons, a plenty,
That I'll cherish forever till eternity.

The shape of dosa is circular and round,
What goes around, comes back, a lesson found.
Dosa can be crisp or soft, as per our desire,
It teaches us to adapt to situations dire.

Stay clam and sensible, when the going gets tough,
And to be strong, when life seems rough.

Dosa can be enjoyed all day,
At breakfast, lunch or dinner, in every way,
It tells us to get along with what comes our way,
And to cherish each moment, every single day.

Dosa batter takes time to ferment,
But its taste is worth the wait, it's evident.
This reminds us that good things take time,
And patience and perseverance will make life sublime.

Two friends it has, chutney and sambar,
The values these pals bring to your life, no matter how far.
Be like dosa, plain and pure
It's simplicity is what makes it unforgettable.

There's a family run business I know call Dosa house. Really good food and people. Little recognition from the broader community but is so worthy on both levels.
