Vampire

KingCalm7

I am a Vampire

I stay distant

My sin keeps me out of the Sun

I guard my secrets

with supernatural remits

Memories seared on my brain

remain like scar tissue

Blood is my motivation

I only stop to eat

At night I live

In the day I sleep.

I carry darkness without guilt.

Even half-life must go on.

No religion, no ultimate consequence.

Retribution is in not burning.

I’m more than duality

More than demon or morality

The yin-yang fallacy

Grey is complex but

Black and white is a fantasy.

Every fortnight i attend confession

But I have given up on heaven

I just try to follow the lessons

And do right by my brethren.

My world only has antiheroes
