A Rainforest Walk

Wordspikes

Inhale forests living essence

breathe a million years

scents, secrets, and silence

light dancing in zig zag strobe ballet

timeless crafted shapes

perfect shaded colours

life hidden

ghost like to unaccustomed eyes

abundant, mysterious, and complex

symphonies in green shaded key

where mankind’s footsteps were known

amongst this cool moist biodiversity

woven timeless world

life force and fertility

home to the photosynthetic magician

a humid and heavy atmosphere

soil, plant, and animal

free and thriving

peace and tranquillity

no time, no cages

solitude in its founding form

unruined by careless hands

or thoughtless greed

pure and wonderful

my privilege to be here

above the penetrating roots

below a canopy of shade

whatever conscience resides within us

never let this garden die

let descendants wonder too
