All the lore and air of that universe was pre-Merlin for me. And I also haven't been able to get one better than the other of the long list of literary, artistic and performance renderings of these tales, Merlin being the latest but probably not the last for years to come.
I have always been entranced by the Arthurian legends. Lady Modaunt threw a bit of British political mix into it. Since I'm not up on politics I lost some of the meaning. But it seems clear at the end that like Mordred (Medraut) or Charles? should never be king. I loved the bringing in of English lore and the lady of the lak and sword that signifies kingship.

While I be more dead, used to think it would be the greatest idea to travel in time to there but lately realise what that would entail in its real time living or being unable to make a go of it. We are quite for quite the time as our very own.
