Every day a holiday

hzugman

If each day day were a holiday

To greet becomes a joyous play

All fear removed from stranger's grasp

Enemies transformed to friends at last

If each day were a holiday

I'd speak to strangers and I'd say

"Howdy neighbor how they layin'

Don't look down - I'm only playin'"

If each day were a holiday

Strangers might become friends

And say to each other  "come this way

Here's where loneliness ends"

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is a the result of a combined effort between me and my hottie girlfriend, Diane. She had the original idea and we worked on the wording together. One of our funnest dates ever. You might want to try it yourselves.
