Marriage

The shadow client

Scream. Shout. Panic. Fear. Retreat, and stay.

Mucky, disgusting, regretful, provoking, distrustful and backstabbing.

Calm down. It's not over. Look around. At the mess you two have made. You look at each other and realize that you're acting like children.

The dust has settled.

The storm has ended.

The sun shines through the clouds.

Your wife starts to giggle, and so do you.

Laughter rings out in the room as you say to each other, It's not all bad, and the world hasn't ended.

Finally.

Smiles, hugs, gifts, gratitude and forgiveness come back.

Sharing, caring, delight, warmth, protection and peace.

A bump in the road, they tell themselves. Their journey was not over. More mishaps are on the way. The challenges they face, will not be overcome by one, but by two side by side.
