A Plea to the Indian Youth

Ayush Bhatt

In the land where ancient wisdom thrives,

A shift unfolds before our eyes.

The Indian youth, with dreams so vast,

Seeks a future, detached from the past.

From the Ganges' banks to the Himalayan peaks,

A change of heart, a new path they seek.

Traditions once cherished, now cast aside,

In pursuit of a world that's globalized.

The West's allure, a siren's call,

Bewitching minds, both big and small.

In jeans and tees, they walk the streets,

Leaving behind their roots, so deep.

The tales of valor, the songs of old,

Now seldom heard, their stories untold.

The ancient arts, the dance, the lore,

Fading away, cherished no more.

But in this race to chase the new,

Let's not forget the wisdom that's true.

For in our culture, our heritage lies,

A treasure trove, a boundless prize.

So, Indian youth, as you forge ahead,

Remember the roots from which you've been fed.

Embrace the world, but hold on tight,

To the legacy that's yours, by birthright.

And as Ayush pens this heartfelt plea,

May the Indian youth pause and see,

The beauty and strength in their culture's embrace,

A timeless bond, they must never erase.

It's like giving colourful beads to the natives, same cheap trick.
"But wisdom is justified of all her children."
