Shades of Misery

kpag2005

The clouds hang low, heavy with rain

Their weight upon the Earth brings much pain

The world seems dark, without a spark

The faith for hope feels so far

For in the gloom, we learn to see,

The subtle shades of misery.

In the shadows of the night,

There moves a figure, hidden from sight,

Whose steps are silent, whose presence unknown,

Whose identity remains a mystery, unshown.

A figure amidst the wind

With eyes that seem to see within

For the mysterious figure remains,

A puzzle unsolved, an enigma unexplained.

But even in this dismal place,

There is a beauty in the space.

So let the rain fall, let the darkness stay,

For it will pass and brighter days will come our way
