The Unforgettable

Nidhi Agarwal

<span;>You passed by me as swift as wind

<span;>You touched me like wind swaying over the flower petals

<span;>You embraced me so tight as if the loved one does

<span;>You hold my hand though for a while, but it seemed I never lost the warmth

<span;>I felt as if the warmth of sun kissed me

<span;>As if the clean water of the sea swept over cleaning my feet

<span;>As if the wind was playing the rhythm of joy

<span;>As if the birds were singing to celebrate the moment

<span;>I closed my eyes so that I could capture the moment forever

<span;>I hold my breath so that it does not get exhaled

<span;>I crossed my fingers so that the lucky moment remained with me always

<span;>I pinched myself to make me believe that it is reality

<span;>The moment was so special that every second worth infinity.

<span;>With every moment passing by I wished it could last till eternity

<span;>I stood there like a statue speechless

<span;>Anyone who had seen me at that time would laugh over my mindlessness

<span;>I fell on earth as suddenly it vanished

<span;>I held my fist tightly so that it may not perish

<span;>My legs lost the strength to get up

<span;>My hands were shaking and fingers fumbling to hold myself up

<span;>It was the moment, which was unforgettable one

<span;>Not only was the moment special but all that was present there with me

<span;>Not only did it change me, but it remains like my shadow with me

<span;>Not only was I spellbound but the magic always remains around me

<span;>Not only did I lose myself after that, but I lost never to find again myself

<span;>I wish I could just find out who it was

<span;>That unforgettable one

<span;>I wish I could meet him again if only once

<span;>That who always remains in my dreams

<span;>I wish I had never let him go

<span;>That who cannot be found again

<span;>Was that God or someone else?

<span;>Was that an earthly creature or someone out of world?

<span;>Was that an imagination or reality?

<span;>Whoever that was, it was undoubtedly an unforgettable one.
