In society, a lady is viewed
As one who must always be subdued
But in truth, she is a force to be reckoned with
Her strength and grace, a true gift

Her beauty is more than skin deep
Her mind, her soul, they run so steep
She is a nurturer, a caregiver, a guide
Her compassion and love never subside

Her worth is not defined by her status
Nor by the roles she plays, be it mother or mistress
She is a human being, with dreams and desires
A person with hopes, who aspires

So let us not judge or underestimate
The lady in society, for she is great
Let us give her the respect she deserves
And acknowledge all that she preserves

For she is a pillar of our world
A shining star, forever unfurled
