zuzu

To feel the weight of remorse, deep and true,
For deeds I've done that I cannot undo.
Trying to hold on in a heart's foreign land,
Where I no longer belong, I understand.

Regret seeps through the cracks of my soul,
For actions untaken, a heavy toll.
A web of lies, a deceitful song,
I was a puppet in the tale all along.

Stranded with a stranger, a familiar face,
Though not afraid, I'm caught in your embrace.
You shaped the emotions, twisted and entwined,
A dance of manipulation, a world unkind.

But now I choose to believe in me,
No longer trapped, no longer naive.
An open heart, now guarded and aware,
Tightly strapped, caution woven with care.

In the depths of remorse, I seek to find,
Redemption's path, a healing bind.
Acknowledging the pain, facing the truth,
I yearn for forgiveness, a chance to soothe.

To reconcile the past, to make amends,
As the journey of healing begins and extends.
In this labyrinth of sorrow, growth unfolds,
Finding strength within, as the story unfolds.

So I offer my apologies, genuine and sincere,
Hoping for forgiveness, for wounds to clear.
For in owning my mistakes, I strive to be,
A better version of myself, finally free.
