Lucid Death

Wordspikes

adrift in lucid death

sedated by complacency

we chase confetti smiles

stalking phantoms

our cameras click

oblivious to the impact

the conspiracy theorist

the religious zealot

a comatose but conscious fool

illusions and daydreams

suspended moments caught

our voice amongst the mayhem

influencers naked pitch

passive workaholic playthings

sobbing bullied hearts

what craziness have we prescribed

warming climate

blood sugar overload

immune, resistant

blue moon cardiac arrest

awake with wokeness

a careless drift

across timeless ocean

cholesterol and pollution piled high

social media invisible warlords

blind eyes, deaf ears

madly boiling brains

our stage upon a stage

delicate sips

or exit at the slightest hint
