What does it mean to thrive, for me, it is the belief in my strength to strive?

 

To Wake up in the morning what do I see, another leaf has opened on the spring tree.

 

What does it mean to thrive Coffee in hand, my senses awakened, I have come alive?

 

Today I am going to do something kind A drive in my car, a country road I have in mind.

 

Frost on the window, taking too long to thaw I might give up, change my mind, and not go, just like before.

 

This is my journey, with no known destination Absent of worry and procrastination.

 

The gears underneath my palm the rhythm of the indicators as I pull down its arm.

 

Sitting snug in my chair, small gap in the window letting in the fresh air.

 

Stereo on, a new playlist, my choice my favourite song.

I hit the repeat button, this time my voice singing.

Wow, what a feeling this is bringing.

 

Right here Right now this is what it is to thrive. The chorus of Sia belting out

A small clearing, A tea hut comes into view. Purchased a coffee, feeling proud.

For trying something new.

 

A loud roar, a bike pulls up beside me, quite scary made me wary.

Harley, I think, with two seats but he was all alone.

Turns to look at me, with a large smile, greets me a good morning in the softest tone.

 

Maybe, just like me, wanted to know what it is to thrive.

Going out on a morning drive, Just to see,

a solo journey and a cup of tea

 

What does it mean to thrive?
