Together, Come What May

Rohan Regi

Walking alone in this rain floods me with memories

Of the times we shared together

Our dusk strolls and sitting by the skywalk

And the moment I voiced my heart to you.

Still, I sense you beside me

And for a fleeting second, I longed

To walk with you once more

To clasp you close and repeat

How ardently my heart loves you still.

The rain bears my tears away

Yet it cannot wash away my love for you.

Once this downpour subsides, we'll set out side by side

Not just for a walk

But to journey through life hand in hand

We'll tread unknown paths together

My hand holding fast to yours

For though storms may come

They'll pass with you by my side

And we'll greet the dawn

Hearts joined, come what may.
