Turritopsis dohrnii

sorenbarrett

For those that long for immortality

You need look no further than the sea

There lives the immortal jelly fish

If one you should perchance squish

or by tooth penetrate

It will simply regenerate

an identical clone it will create

reverting to its infant state

to grow again a new life

until further strife

or when its sick, old or hurt

causes it to revert

on and on for eternity

a true entity of immortality

    so intriguing, wondrousness of nature
yet, we think we know best
project this n that, assume everything
is as a consequence of our
    actions
when nature, curated us to be
    exactly, what we are..
    light n darkness
    hot n cold
    mountains n sea
    jelly fish fragility n survivability
    life n death
    existence's, callous duality
    beautiful by design
    (a great write! my friend)
