Sleep Well

Peter Gates

Close your eyes.
Turn out the light.
Your pillow lies
Within your sight.
Lay weary head
On it just right.
In blanketed bed,
Sleep well tonight.

The thoughts that race through the day
Take moment to settle
As if dusting your mind.
Settle the emotions that guide your moments
Dance through the night air
In effort to sooth insomnia.
Rest well.

Sleep Well, Lover.
After: Our Latest, Love Scene, Is Over.
Closer, We R. 4ever, Is Ours.
Starlights, Most Enchanted.
Beloved: I LOVE U, Sleep Well.
Sleep Well.
